# interpretedAsClaim

Used to indicate a specific claim contained, implied, translated or refined from the content of a [MediaObject](https://schema.org.ai/MediaObject) or other [CreativeWork](https://schema.org.ai/CreativeWork). The interpreting party can be indicated using [claimInterpreter](https://schema.org.ai/claimInterpreter).

## Expected Types

| Type | Description |
|------|-------------|
| [Claim](https://schema.org.ai/Claim) | A [Claim](https://schema.org.ai/Claim) in Schema.org represents a specific, factually-oriented claim that could be the [itemReviewed](https://schema.org.ai/itemReviewed) in a [ClaimReview](https://schema.org.ai/ClaimReview). The content of a claim can be summarized with the [text](https://schema.org.ai/text) property. Variations on well known claims can have their common identity indicated via [sameAs](https://schema.org.ai/sameAs) links, and summarized with a [name](https://schema.org.ai/name). Ideally, a [Claim](https://schema.org.ai/Claim) description includes enough contextual information to minimize the risk of ambiguity or inclarity. In practice, many claims are better understood in the context in which they appear or the interpretations provided by claim reviews. Beyond [ClaimReview](https://schema.org.ai/ClaimReview), the Claim type can be associated with related creative works - for example a [ScholarlyArticle](https://schema.org.ai/ScholarlyArticle) or [Question](https://schema.org.ai/Question) might be [about](https://schema.org.ai/about) some [Claim](https://schema.org.ai/Claim). At this time, Schema.org does not define any types of relationship between claims. This is a natural area for future exploration. |

## Used on Types

| Type | Description |
|------|-------------|
| [CreativeWork](https://schema.org.ai/CreativeWork) | The most generic kind of creative work, including books, movies, photographs, software programs, etc. |
| [MediaObject](https://schema.org.ai/MediaObject) | A media object, such as an image, video, audio, or text object embedded in a web page or a downloadable dataset i.e. DataDownload. Note that a creative work may have many media objects associated with it on the same web page. For example, a page about a single song (MusicRecording) may have a music video (VideoObject), and a high and low bandwidth audio stream (2 AudioObject's). |
